A Mustang's Story

I picked Lee out of a good sized herd of Mustangs that the BLM brought down to LA Pierce College 2 years ago. He was a 3 year old and had been captured, branded, castrated and vaccinated all within about 2 months. It did take me a week before I was even able to touch him, but after that, he was a doll! Everyone loves him. He is sweet and friendly and playful. He loves food, and seems to be happy to carry me over hill and dale--usually with me in charge. We did his first 25 mile endurance ride within a year after I got him, and he did great. So far Lee hasn't needed Van's skills for anything but 'feel good' massages, but Lee's sister, Kay, takes full advantage of Van's abilities.
